Fantastic! Slept through the night for the first time in years.
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five was I wish it had small guards on the inside of the upper jaw. I have a narrow jaw and it took awhile to position the device so it didn’t slide up inside my cheek and rub.
As another reviewer mentioned, they say not to trim the inside lower guard. I did it anyway as it rubbed my inner lower gum almost raw. I took off about 1/8th inch and rounded the edges with scissors and a pumice stone. Problem solved.
I have one lower tooth that is out of alignment and the first week of wear caused moderate pain. I switched to a sensitivity toothpaste and that resolved quickly.
It does cause drooling – followed by dry mouth. After a week, I could easily drink water and swallow with the appliance in place.
Give this product at least a week’s adjustment period and it’s a godsend. My obstructive sleep apnea is gone. My blood pressure is down. My energy levels are MUCH higher and my weight is dropping. All from getting enough sleep.
Wonderful product.

It has definitely helped with my snoring. I can sleep on my back now. The first night I used it I woke up the next morning in the same postion (on my back) that I went to sleep in, and the blankets were undisturbed. Usually the blankets are all over the place from a restless sleep. The one-size-fits-all makes it slightly uncomfortable. It will shift in my mouth at times putting pressure on my upper gums, which causes a slight pain. In the packaging they encourage trimming the part to remove ill-fitting portions. I am hesistant to do this for fear of creating rough edges to its smooth finish. I assume a custom fit model would prevent discomfort, but I am unwilling to pay the $400 I was quoted from two separate dentists. There is $180 model online that will send you something to make an impression of your bite that you would return for a custom fit, and that may work better. All in all I am happy with the results. The price is relatively cheap, and I am sleeping better.

I have snored bad for years and I would wake up 4 or 5 times a night. It got to the point that I really had to sleep for about 12 hours a night before I felt ok in the morning. Tried the outside of your nose stickers, the sprays, and other things but they did not work.
I purchased my first snoring mouth piece from http://www.puresleep.com. The one they sell you have to stick in boiling water to mold to your teeth. Other then getting use to sleeping with something in your mouth and drooling a bit, it was GREAT. The best night’s sleep in years. Months later, tragidy- my dog grabbed it off my night stand and used it for a chew toy!
I ordered the Snore Wizard from Amazon because I could get it overnighted and the puresleep people are kind of slow with the shipping. I find Snore Wizard much more painful to wear even after trimming and way more drooling. Just using it until I get another one from Puresleep.
Wish I could return it as I will be real hard pressed to use it again but it’s better then sleeping with nothing.

If this device was designed properly it actually might be worth the money. But sadly, in my case, it was a waste of money.
I fitted it according to the instructions. And tried it the first night. Next morning I woke up with nothing in my mouth. Found The Snore Wizard laying on my pillow. Tried it again the next night… same thing in the morning.
Refitted it again. Thinking maybe I hadn’t fitted it properly. Anxiously optimistic for it to work this time. But to my disappointment there it was defiantly on my pillow again.
Frustrated I ordered a chin harness from Amazon to hold my mouth shut so the Snore Wizard couldn’t come out. Next morning I was pleasantly surprised to find the Snore Wizard still in my mouth. I continued to use this device until my front teeth were too sore to sleep with The Snore Wizard for a few days. I began to look closely at the teeth indentations in the plastic and noticed that there were only about six teeth(front teeth) on the upper and six teeth (front teeth) on the lower parts of the Snore Wizard that were actually in contact with the plastic. The stronger molars in the back played no part and bore no pressure just those 12 front teeth.
Like one comment mentioned about being designed to fit all mouths is true. One size does not fit all.
One more thing, I tried another brand that was advertised on TV. You probably know what I mean. It performed on par with this one here. In fact it was even smaller than this one. Good Luck.

I foolishly jumped into buying this product because I am so desperate to do something about my snoring. But I should have looked at other products — check out Pure Sleep Tonight with Anti-Snore — that are both cheaper and offer a money back guarantee. The Snore Wizard not only didn’t work for me, but when I attempted to use it my jaw ached and my mouth produced so much excess saliva that I almost choked. And watch out for their “Due to hygiene reasons, this is a non-returnable product” clause under the Product Features heading. How convenient… for THEM. They keep my cash and I have a useless piece of plastic. DON’T BE LIKE ME. Don’t buy the Snore Wizard.

It hurts,,My lower teeth have a dull pain in the am.. Im hoping that it does adjust over time and willing to try. Its hard to make it through a full night with the piece in. I do think it cuts down on snoring and I would def say my energy level is a bit higher.
If you are going to get this item, get ready to commit some pain to see if it works … Im OK with some mild pain with the hope to adjust if it works longer term. If you think you are going to buy this and it wont hurt you,,you are wrong.
I will add more comments in a month …seems ok but no pain no gain..
12-17-09..ITS BEEN A FEW MORE WEEKS..
My wife says I snore less and I feel more alert during the day, all in i think it works.. Would add that i go to bed at 9:30 ish and yank this thing out at 3:30 am cause it kils.
Pain is a little less than when i started, usually goes away quick.
For $40 beans, its worth a try .. I have mild sleep apnea and it helps….

The SnoreWizard
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Soft, chewy, and fairly comfortable (the materials are fantastic), but for me, only works some of the time. The bottom part has a tab for the back of your lower front teeth that is essential for holding your jaw forward. The top part has nothing for the posterior aspect of your teeth and I find that the device occasionally slips off because of this. It works well if you can get it to stay put; quality of sleep is greatly improved. It also helps with tooth grinding. However, I find that it usually ends up falling out of my mouth sometime during the night, so from that point on it’s crappy sleep as usual. If they could only redesign this thing with fuller top and bottom posterior tooth support, I think that would solve everything.

I tried both a c-pap and bi-pap machine for sleep apnea. I could not get used to either of them after trying for several months. The snore wizard works great. It took about a week to get used to. I would wake up and it would not be in my mouth. Now its been about a month and I am used to it and it really helps the sleep apnea.
I did have to trim both the top and the inside bottom part to make it more comfortable, but it does work and I would recommend it for anyone with sleep apnea.

This mouthpiece worked for me and fit my teeth fairly well. No snoring after drinking on New Years Eve!! But is is very uncomfortable. With more and more wear I could probably handle it. In other words … you are training yourself to handle the discomfort. I was going to trim it a bit but it disappeared from my nightstand. If you have a cat I strongly recommend hiding it in your drawer and snap the case shut. Yes it seems my cat decided it was intrigued by the smell and ran off with it somewhere. We have yet to find it. I ordered two more. I will try the SomnoGuard AP later though as it looks like it might be a more comfortable device. It sells for more than 3 times more. Google it and you will see only one site sells it shipping included. In other words the SnoreWizard often works but is uncomfortable. Something you may or may not want to live with.

I ordered one of these and tried it for 1 week. Not only did it not help my snoring, I wake up in the middle of the night drowning in my own drool and in the morning I feel as if I was kicked in the jaw by a horse. If there were anything less than one star, I’d pick that. However, “I Hate It” works in this case. I did not stop snoring using this product and like many of the other reviewers stated, my jaw and teeth hurt so badly that I was miserable. Too bad I gave it as long of a try as I did. I’m desperate for help with my jaw/snoring issues so I used it for about a week. That was one wasted and painful week. If you have the resources, seek out good medical/dental professionals instead.

My husband snores SO loudly that we thought we’d give this a try. It works for a couple of hours but then his snoring kicks right back in just as if he wasn’t using the product at all. It gives him extreme dry mouth, so he wakes up several times in the night to get a drink of water. He also says it’s really uncomfortable and tends to take it out in the middle of the night (while he’s still asleep).
The company does not offer a money back guarantee, so definitely, buyer beware. Spend your hard earned cash on something else.

I waited awhile before doing a review on this item (purchased it in January of 2009). I wanted to see how it would fare over the first several months of use. So far it works nearly perfect. From the very first night I stopped snoring and slept like a teenager again. I didn’t have any issues with it rubbing on my gums or causing sore spots. I didn’t have to trim it either. I did have about three days of slight soreness at first (in my jaws) but that went away each morning in 5-10 minutes after I removed the mouthpiece.
I recommend that you sleep on your stomach or side instead of your back. It’s not impossible sleeping on your back but it is easier to keep your mouth closed in those other positions.
The Snore Wizard has a lifespan of about 9 months according to the manufacturer’s instructions. That’s probably an estimate on the low side. I think it will go for a year before it wears out.
I don’t use the breathing hole in front. It dried my mouth out too much so I keep my lips closed and my tongue rests in the hole. You will have loads of saliva to deal with in the morning. That’s not obvious until you are removing it. Be ready for it.
Overall I couldn’t live without this silly little thing. It’s made a huge difference in my life. I’m sleeping great now. I’m losing weight and I’m not groggy at work anymore. Buy it. I bought a second one as backup.

Female and a snorer
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Being a female and a snorer is embarrassing enough. I am in a new relationship with a wonderful man. Only problem is my snoring keeps him awake at night. I couldn’t let something like snoring come between me and the perfect man so I tried this product.
Life changing is an understatement. No more nudging in the middle of the night. No more waking up to find him sleeping (or not sleeping) on the couch. No more of him walking around in a fog because he didn’t sleep the night before. We wake up together now. Fully rested and together.
The product only took one night to get used to since I wear dental partials anyway. I have to wear my partials and the Snore Wizard at night. The partials keep the Wizard in place. I sleep through the night now. Small sacrafice to make for the peace this item brings. Best money I’ve spent in a long time. I don’t know if it will work for everyone, but it certainly did for “us”.

The Snore Wizard took me a week to get used too.
Week 1 – Jaw discomfort/slightly sore teeth upon waking
Week 2 – No more jaw or tooth discomfort
Week 3 – Like wearing nothing at all
PROS
1) Allows partner to sleep without interruption
2) Reduced my daytime sleepiness
3) Great price compared to products from the dentist
4) Type of plastic is very flexible and strong
5) Easily stores with convenient holder
CONS
1) Edges are abrasive to the gums (in some areas) at first for myself
2) Product only lasts up to 9 months according to packaging
3) Must sleep on side for it to be most effective for myself – This is in the directions for use
4) Initially – I found the product to come loose – your mouth seems to adjust to this after a few weeks

I suffer from pre-hypertensive blood pressure (130-140 over 90-100). As a result, I purchased a home blood pressure monitor (Omron) and regularly take my blood pressure. One thing I noted was that if I took my blood pressure right after waking up, it would be higher (140/100) than any other time during the day. This was caused, I suspected, by some kind of sleep apnea. I am a confirmed snorer, and frequently when I woke up I would feel out of breath, or I would wake up in the middle of the night because I wasn’t breathing.
After using this product for several nights, my blood pressure when I first wake up is 125/85 – far better then before.
Some notes: This device holds your lower jaw in place through a little plastic tab that hangs down. I immediately cut that down to half its original length because it was rubbing my lower gum. That did not seem to lower the effectiveness of the device at all. Also, my upper teeth and lower jaw were a little sore in the mornings from the pressure exerted by the device to hold your lower jaw forward. Nothing too extreme though.

It does keep you from snoring. Yes it works but there are some problems.
1. takes time to get used to
2. sleep on your side or stomach slobber all over yourself
3. sleep on your back dry mouth.
Bottom line your partner will sleep well.
It took me about a week to get used to.
Everything is good now.
I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because it stops snoring.
Bottom line……

reduces snoring but can cause discomfort
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I’ve been using this device for about 6 months now. It does reduce about 80% of my snoring by moving the lower jaw forward, thus opening the passage at the back of the throat. But, obviously, moving your jaw out of position and holding it there for 8 hours a day can cause some stiffness in the jaw muscles the next morning. That causes me to avoid using it when I can get away with it. I would think it would work better if it could be molded.
Also, it doesn’t work as well if you only sleep on your back — because that position naturally causes the throat passage to close. So, it works quite well if you can sleep on your side.

I am 6′3″ and I weigh 358 lbs. African American Male.
When I snore it can be heard throughout my spacious home.
Before purchasing the Snore wizard, my wife would sometimes get up in the middle of the night and go to another bedroom, closing both bedroom doors behind her.
After recently having minor out patient surgery, my doctor informed me that my brain was not getting enough oxygen while I was sleeping, and that it was the adult equivilant of “crib death”.
So I then hit the internet and did research on sleep apnea and potential devices for correction
I then came to Amazon.com and found the products cheaper here.
I purchased the snore guard and I HAVE NOT SNORED SINCE I STARTED WEARING THE DEVICE. ALMOST A MONTH NOW!!
I wake up refreshed after sleeping 7 or so hours.
**** I did experience pain in my jaw for about a week, at one point I almost stopped wearing it, because it hurt to chew. But that pain did go away.
I would recommend this device to all my friends.
I did also purchase one of those boil and mold devices to try to get a better fit, but that device allowed me to snore.
I hope my information is helpful….

I snore no more. It is a little uncomfortable at first and having your mouth propped open all night causes you to breathe through your mouth which can make you throat a bit dry but this device keeps me from snoring and also keeps my airway open all night eliminating my sleep apnea. My husband is amazed at the difference. This device works!

it works … but
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I’ve been using the product now for over 2 weeks. And it works as advertised. My wife gets better sleep and really appreciates the reduction in snoring.
But, the first few days were painful. The bottom flap that holds your bottom jaw forward, would cut into my gums, and it really hurt. Eventually, I read a review about a guy who had trimmed the flap with a pair of scissors. So every night I tried to cut a small strip off the bottom flap. After about 3 nights I seemed to get it down to the right size so that it still held my jaw forward, but didn’t cut into my gums. It was far more usable after that.
At first I would wake up and my teeth hurt. The pressure of the mouthpiece to hold the jaw forward would cause my top teeth to be pressed in all night, while the bottom teeth would be pressed out all night. By the morning, my teeth would be painful. Eating breakfast would be painful if you ate anything you had to chew (stick with scrambled eggs). After 2 weeks, my teeth are still sore in the mornings, but not prohibitively so.
Also, after being pushed forward all night, my jaw seems to take some time to return to it’s normal position after I remove the mouthpiece. I normally have an overbite. After removing the mouthpiece in the mornings my bite is much more aligned with my top teeth. It takes a few hours for my jaw to adjust and return back to “normal.” It isn’t painful at all, but still takes a little getting used to when it just doesn’t feel right for a while.
But even with all these issues, I still recommend the product. It does cut down my snoring, and I plan on continuing to use it.

Saved My Life – and Stopped My Sleep Apnea
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
How do you rate a product that saves your life? I have been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea that has led to 2 operations (partially successful) and a miserable half awake dazed state for the last 15 years and getting progressively worse. I would get sleepy driving. I couldn’t concentrate or stay awake in meetings and my comprehension and memory was terrible.
Out of desperation I tried this. Yes it’s uncomfortable but when I finally got a full nights sleep with it I felt reborn. I have energy, I’m not in a daze, I don’t get tired driving and I feel very sharp and alert. My memory is great and everyone tells me I’m like a new person. Thank you for making this. It’s been a lifesaver and I’m writing this to let others know that this does work (and is a lot easier to deal with than a cpap machine). As far as the discomfort – who cares if you can feel like this. Oh and as for my snoring, it helped somewhat but I really didn’t buy it for that.

I have been a very loud snorer for the past several years. I also stopped breathing several times during the night. I would wake up very tired in the morning because of the snoring. I decided to try the Snore Wizard after researching several similar products. It was uncomfortable at first and took me several days before I could wear the Snore Wizard all night. After the first night I was able to sleep with it, my husband couldn’t believe how quietly I slept! The device takes some getting used to, but it very worth the time and produces instant results!! I have been able to sleep peacefully for the first time in years, waking refreshed with much more energy.

Still snoring, but softer
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
It does work in bringing the jaw forward and preventing back of the throat snoring, however I am snoring now from the point where my nose connects to my throat (uvula). As this is quieter and allows more air into my lungs this is an improvement, but it is just a temporary solution until the paperwork goes through on a cpap machine.
My gums are a little sore from the edges of the rubber, but not to the point that eating or drinking is uncomfortable. My mouth gets very dry two or three times a week from breathing through the front hole instead of my nose, but that is less painful than snoring.
I put it and the storage case through a cycle on my dishwasher, and it is still intact. I do that once a week for a thorough cleaning, and use rinsing with a little listerine rubbed on it during the week to keep it after daily use.
I have only had one time that I found the mouthpiece next to the pillow in my bed, so I am able to keep it in. I had a bit of jaw pain that went away after a week or so from using it, but every morning it takes 10 to 15 minutes for my jaw to move back to its normal position where my teeth fit together properly. No problem, as I am getting dressed, etc. during that time period.
Update 11/19/08: I have had to stop using the snore wizard due to chest pain. My tongue was blocking the mouth hole in the snore wizard forcing me to breathe only through my nose, and my nose was closing up. It was like trying to breathe through a straw, and my lungs were aching and sore in the morning. Yes, the snoring was less, but my lungs and probably heart were being really pounded by the extra effort to breathe. Not recommended.

Rating:2 out of 5 stars
It will take getting used to, know that off the bat. The amount of drool one produces while wearing this is a lot to deal with, so I sleep on a washcloth. But here is my problem: with my bite, the Snore Wizard is pulling the lower jaw so far forward, that when I’m about to fall asleep and my muscles relax, my jaw slips back causing the device to come off around the upper teeth. This leads to having the thing in your mouth sideways and loose. Not helpful at all toward a restful sleep. I can see how a different mouth would be perfectly helped with this though…but the lack of customization makes it impossible for me.

Torture device
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
The flange inside the lower jaw tore up my gum and I had to trim it off. Due to an uneven tooth, the non-flexible surface provided an uneven fit to mouse causing my upper teeth to hurt in the root. This device does not mold unlike others. I couldn’t wear this thing for more than a few hours and had to remove it due to extreme discomfort.
I suppose the hard and resistant material will provide a lasting product, but unless you have a completely even mouth which fits the shape of this device this product is probably not for you.
I returned it.

This is a repeat order. The product works very well, with one slight nuance. I found that this time, the mouthpiece tends to shift around in my mouth while I sleep, because when I awake I find it dislocated to the left side of my mouth. Once, I found it out of my mouth on my chest. I don’t know if I spit it out because of the dislocation or I unconsciously pulled it out in my sleep. I like this one better than the harder plastic one I purchased (SnoreMeds Stop Snoring Mouthpiece), because this one doesn’t leave my teeth or jaw hurting for several hours after its removal the next morning.

I bought “the Snore Wizard” for my boyfriend who has severe sleep apnea. My boyfriend said, that it helps him sleep alot better, and he doesn’t choke in his sleep when he sleeps with “the Snore Wizard”. Also, my boyfriend also mentioned that it does take some time to get used to (and that it hurts his teeth a little) but that when he trims (the edges) he said it doesn’t hurt so much. I noticed too, that my boyfriend gets a deeper more slumber sleep with “the snore wizard” than he does without it. The snore wizard is TOTALLY worth it–for anyone who has a loved one with severe sleep apnea. My boyfriend is now, getting a full 8 hours of sleep (thanks to the snore wizard)! The snore wizard has definitely been a LIFE SAVING & LIFE CHANGING product!!!!!

Way too extreme with the underbite. Hurts too much to sleep. It felt like my front teeth were about to pop out while I was sleeping.

Gets the job done
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
After countless mornings waking up tired and grouchy, I began to wonder if I had a sleep disorder of some kind. Knowing that I snore, I figured I’d give this product a try to see if it would have any effect.
Wow, was I ever surprised at the results! The first morning after using the Snore Wizard, I woke up feeling refreshed after just five hours of sleep! For every day of the ~2 weeks I’ve used it, the quality of my sleep was excellent. I didn’t know that this is what normal sleep was supposed to feel like!
You may be wondering what the four-star rating is for, then. Well, despite its efficacy, this mouthpiece can be remarkably uncomfortable at first, and mildly uncomfortable after a week. I managed to cut it at certain points to increase comfort, but it will never feel as if nothing’s there. A small price to pay for improved sleep.
I hope this was helpful to everyone out there.

The mouth piece comes out of your mouth and it did not stop me from snoring. I had to go back to my Cpat system.

WAIT – Don’t Do It Until You Read This!

One size just CAN NOT FIT ALL and this device has absolutely no adjustment for your jaw size, depth of bite, teeth configuation or jaw curvature.
Which size are you? Which size is this Mandibular Advancement Device (MAD)? There is one major problem, you can’t know without spending money and time wearing it.
Obviously this works for a lot of people, but are you one of them? I wasn’t.
It did not work for me. My jaw must be larger than this is designed for, or possibly smaller, I don’t know which. This device advanced my lower jaw, but in doing so it put backwards pressure on my upper teeth. My upper teeth were being pushed backwards all night long. This device does not provide any support behind your upper teeth while pushing on them. The backwards pressure on my upper teeth, combined with the lack of support behind them, was causing my upper teeth to be forcibly moved out of position, and it hurt. Eating hurt, even soft foods, all day long. I also had sore jaw muscles on my right side, so sore that I couldn’t bite down on the molars on that side. I was taking small bites of food and trying to swallow them whole.
Due to having read the many succesfull testimonials below, I stuck with it for a full week, my mistake not theirs. At the end of 7 days my upper teeth were moving backwards and hurting and were loosening in their sockets, and bleeding at the gums. After 7 days of it getting worse instead of better (I should have stopped after the first night) I finally gave it up. I really wanted this to work.
Then I started looking around on the internet for other devices, hopefully one that could be adapted to my jaw size specifically. Lo and behold there are many many of them out there, they are generically called “boil and bite” devices. They work on the same principle as this one by holding the lower jaw in an advanced postion, BUT, they are customizable to you and this one is not. You drop the “boil and bite” into boiling water and then take them out and let them cool a bit, then you bite down into them, forming a permanent mold of your teeth. They contain two materials – one is a plastic tray (so to speak) that is not softened or changed by the heat. The other is a filler material inside of the plastic tray that is softened by the heat.
When you bite down, you bite down into a channel of plastic material that has been softened and then perfectly form fits to YOUR teeth and YOUR jaw size and curvature and depth of bite. After it cools it retains that shape. Thus you now have not only a MAD that fits your jaw/teeth exactly and precisely, but it also provides support on both sides of your teeth so that any pressure caused by advancing your lower jaw forward does not cause your teeth to shift in their sockets.
Better yet, some of the “boil and bite” devices are about half the cost of this one.
There are various grades of these “boil and bite” devices. Even the cheapest one is going to be better than this product, but there are some out there that are superb. I ended up buying the SomnoGuard AP. It costs about 3 times as much as this device. And after using it, it is worth every penny of it – to me. You may not want or need to pay that much, and you certainly don’t have to. I saw a couple of the “boil and bites” for around $30.
The SomnoGuard AP (I am not receiving any kind of kickback, it is simply an honest review that will hopefully help you compare to this model) has an adjustment system that after being adjusted to you by biting into the warm material, also allows you to set the amount of lower jaw advancement using an adustment screw. This means that you can start off with a slightly forward lower jaw and over time advance it gradually so that you get used to it gently. This also means that you can stop adjusting the forward position of your lower jaw, when you get the results YOU want. As in when you are no longer keeping your partner awake, you can stop right there. Or if it takes you more forward ajustment than other people, you can keep moving it until you get there. Additionally you can always warm the somnoguard back up and re-set your bite any you want or need to.
AND, the SomnoGuard AP also allows for side to side movement of your jaws without changing the forward adjustment of your lower jaw. This is WAY more comfortable. Being able to flex my jaws sideways at night makes it a lot easier to handle. This is a big deal.
Bottom line, I recommend investigating the numerous “boil and bite” appliances out there before you purchase this one. This one may work for you, it may not – the problem is how can you know in advance of trying it for a week? Even the lowest price “boil and bite” has advantages over this one. And there are some out there that are astronomically superior.

Doesn’t work, my tongue keeps plugging up the air hole
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Pros: Good plastic, feels sturdy.
Cons:
1. Doesn’t work, my tongue keeps plugging up the air hole.
2. I tried it upside down and still my tongue plugs up the air hole.
3. I can’t relax using this as my tongue must be restrained from plugging up the air hole.
Can I get a refund?

Wife sleeps better now, but I don’t
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Perhaps this works for others, but I’ve got an overbite so when this mouthpiece pulls my lower jaw forward, it causes quite a bit of pain. The pain continues throughout the next day on my upper front teeth (pain like braces being adjusted). During the night, it dislodges quite often. I’ve been patient and trying to adjust for the two week break in time, but I doubt I’ve slept for more than a half hour before being awoken by the uncomfort from this device either being dislodged or applying too much pressure to my front teeth.
This “experiment” has educated me on this type solution to hush my snoring, but has motivated me to go for the more expensive custom fitting that a dentist can provide.

Do Not Buy This!
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
First, it does not fit most mouths. As another reviewer said – it is not possible for one of these to be 1 size fits all. THis device is not different. Also, the whole in the front becomes a “slobber hole” at night. Your pillow will be soaked by morning.

Trying a device like this is the last step before my surgeon moves my upper and lower jaws forward with screws and bone grafts. I sorely want this device (or another like it) to work.
I’ve had sleep apnea surgery (at Stanford Hospital, after being treated at the Stanford Sleep Disorder Center) and have used various mouthguards (some custom-made, some not; some hard plastic, some soft) but still am waking up 10 times an hour all night due to my throat collapsing as soon as I fall asleep. The teeth grinding/jaw-clenching is automatic; it occurs as an attempt to restore some muscular tension in my throat & therefore restore/improve breathing. Pulling the lower jaw forward and keeping it there is thought to be the solution–at the very least, worth trying!
I’ve just recently received this device and and will warn you about what I was warned about: Your jaw will take some time getting used to being held in this new position. And yes, your mouth will get a bit dry at night due to the opening in the front. However, if it improves your sleep and quality of life, it’s quite worth it.
I am writing this review now because I have, today, noticed a bit of an improvement in my energy level! That means I’m sleeping better and am getting more oxygen when I sleep.
I am not a doctor, just a patient, and can only tell you of my experiences and hope that, by describing my situation and particular need for a device of this type, you (and your doctor) can make an informed decision about whether this is the right type of device for you.

I bought this thing because I snore wicked bad according to my wife!
I tried this item and she said it does quiet me down to a dull roar but didnt completely stop my snoring.
I got used to it no problem. I’ve spit it out in my sleep several times.
My complaint is it makes my bottom front teeth hurt every time I use it. I even found one of them to have loosened and wiggle a little. I stop using it and the tooth firmed back up. I only use it now when I have cocktails at night which makes me snore my worst.

one size does NOT fit all
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
This product does mold to fit your teeth and jaw pattern. I found that it put unequal pressure on my teeth. Upon awakening, some of my teeth were sore. Eating hard toast hurt my teeth. An MD cautioned me about products such as this since they can affect your bite. Since this product does not mold to your teeth, you will not know if it will work for you. The kicker is that it is not returnable for “hygenic reasons.” If the company really believes that their product will fit everyone comfortably, they would be willing to not hesitate to give refunds for appliances that do not fit comfortably.

It works!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Per my wife, my snoring is signficantly reduced when I use this product. I find myself more rested in the morning as well. I appreciate the hole in the middle of the product, knowing that I can breathe through my mouth if I need to. As I was perusing anti-snoring devices, I was a bit scared of chinstraps and possibly suffocating myself if I wasn’t able to breate through my nose. There is some minor tooth/mouth pain in the morning, but generally it is gone by the time I’m out of the shower. Overall, highly recommended.

Sleep Apnea Mouth Guard
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I’ve been a bad snorer for 40 years and have had suffered with sleep apnea for most of this time. I’ve been using the Mouth guard for about two weeks, and it seems to be working. It is still bothering me a little as I try to get to sleep – but my wife claims my snoring has reduced maybe 90-95%.
When i think that I could have had a painful operation, or be using one of those weird masks that blows air up your nose (and didn’t work for me at all) – to be able to solve the problem for a $50 mouthpiece is incredible.
If you are a bad snorer – buy this product today!

Great Great Product. Saved My Life.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
It takes a while to get used to. It will hurt your jaw and gums for the first 2 weeks. But you will sleep like a baby. I don’t recommend cutting it for comfort. This will leave sharp edges that cut into your gums. It is better to just go through a little pain for a week or two. Your gums will get used to it and the piece itself will start to form to your jaw.
It is way way better than the ones you put in hot water then form to your teeth. Those simply don’t work.
If you snore at all, this product will improve your sleep. I have severe sleep apnea and it saved my life.
The people who don’t like this product aren’t willing to put up with a little discomfort during the adjustment period of about two weeks.
Also, when you wake up in the morning your lower jaw will feel slightly pushed forward. After a week or two your jaw will adjust more quickly in the morning. However, you’ll usually have to wait about a half hour before chewing in the morning; a small price to pay for feeling like a teenager all day long. Sleep is everything. Without your day is horrible and tedious.
Don’t waste time and money on operations and C-Pap machines. This mouth piece is much much better.

Okay, I read the testimonials about SLIGHT DISCOMFORT, or TAKES SOME GETTING USED TO, etc…
Slight discomfort is a pebble in the shoe. This thing HURTS LIKE HELL for the first few nights. “Getting Used To”? You can “get used to” anything, even prison time.
I’m no dummy. I took the reviews and put my Junior College education to use. Here’s my unsolicited advice: Put it in an hour or two before bedtime for about four or five nights. Don’t sleep with it, just wear it before bed to get used to it. THEN after a few nights put it in for the full night. It works. Prepare to wash your pillowcases as you will drool by the the bucket.

It stopped my snoring and lets my wife sleep
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Who ever thought a piece of plastic could stop snoring? I am a very deep sleeper so when I snore my wife can’t even wake me up. I tried this as a last resort really, and amazingly it works. My wife says I either do not snore at all or only very lightly. That’s the good part. Be prepared though, this thing is very uncomfortable, especially the first week or so when you are adjusting to it. I find in the morning I have a lot of saliva build up which I guess is common. It’s a small price to pay I guess.
