    Comfortable Fit
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I started off by trying the regular-sized version, which was too bulky on the outside part. That extra bulkiness irritated my gums and pinched the insides of my cheeks. Fortunately, Sleep Right had an excellent company policy that allowed me to return my dental guard and get a full refund (there is a time limit for this policy to apply, though). This slim dental guard was comfortable, though the smaller size meant that it was more likely to fall out of place. I don’t have a particularly small mouth, but I think this dental guard would be best for any woman who has a medium-to-small jaw. Another problem, common with most dental guards I’ve tried, was that I chewed through this one within four months or so.

    Great product
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I wasn’t sure about paying so much for a night guard but knew I had to do something different. I already had one that was made for me by the dentist but with it I always woke up feeling like I had been grinding my teeth all night. It took a few days to get use to the feeling of the Sleep right in my mouth but finally got the hang of it. It really has re-trained me not to grind my teeth. Sleep Right was a life saver for me and I would recommend it to any one…

Doesn’t work well. Only used it a couple of times because the old one I have, a boilable, works better. Mary Dohrman

This is a great product, so much better than the cheap ones they sell at Walmart. I notice when I use it, there’s less pain in my jaw….It still takes getting used to, but worth it!

    Awesome
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Before, I was grinding my teeth, wearing them down, and worried about seriously damaging them over time. I tried a huge sports mouthguard, and it was way too large and uncomfortable. I heard I could get a nice, custom-made mouthguard from my dentist, but it would cost $600-800. Forget it!

I tried this thing, and it works great. Very comfortable once you get used to it. Yes, I still clench my jaw at night…it won’t stop that. But it WILL stop you from damaging your teeth in the process. I highly recommend it!!!

    Not so impressed
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I had spent several hundreds of dollars on a dentist-made guard but was never happy with the fit. So, I decided to try one of the other options out there. I was drawn to this product because I have a smaller mouth and thought it would be perfect for me. It turns out that it wasn’t quite what I thought it would be. It held my mouth open at an awkward angle, so my jaw ended up being more sore in the morning than without it. Also, the strap ended up bothering my gums. While I think the concept of this product was great, it still needs to be tweaked before I will buy it again.

I ended up finding one that fit better: Dr. Brux. It’s a lot more expensive (runs $49.99 – $69.99) but I am extremely happy with it. It seems like it would be more bulky, but I find it is more comfortable than any other night guard I have tried.

Cracked off a piece of my tooth
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I just want to warn anyone about this product based on my own experiences. My teeth slipped off this product during the third night that I used it and I ended up cracking off a piece of my molar. Needless to say, I was not happy. There is nothing to keep the product in your mouth, and so, if you grind your teeth (which is I think the point of the mouth guard) it can slip off in your mouth. The company gave me a refund and “officially” claimed that they never heard of this happening before. Yet, one person at the company had previously slipped and told me that someone else had a claim similar to mine. Just based on the design of the product, it is easy to see how it might happen to many others.

“feels” good, but falls out of my mouth every night
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I like the fact that this nightguard is soft and pliable. I find that it is comfortable to wear, night or day, even compared to the extremely expensive “custom” ones that I get from the dentist. But soon I was finding it on my pillow every night. In fact, it didn’t stay in very long at all. I got the low profile because my mouth is small. It doesn’t need to be boiled, but it is adjustable by moving the vinyl platforms back or forward in the notches. I still think that, for $30, it is worth a try, since other people have had good luck with it. This is a infinitesimal fraction of what I have paid out to dentists in my life, and I still have Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunction!

    Good Luck!

    Sleep Right – so-so
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
At first, I was afraid that I might choke on the item, however, when put in place correctly it stayed secured. However, I did not feel that this system protected the back molars when “clenching” down. Not sure I would buy another one.

Beats spending $600 for a dental appliance
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I actually returned my dental guard because using it helped me discover that I don’t clench my teeth, like I thought I did. I used it for two nights and had no trouble with it staying put. I was able to continue sleeping with my mouth closed, and my husband did not report any snoring or other side effects. I have a very small mouth, and this fit comfortably. I would have been really angry if I had spent $600 on the dental appliance recommended by my dentist (based on the symptoms I described) only to discover that my habit is tensing all my facial muscles at night, not clenching my teeth.

Spend the extra $10…it’s worth it
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I admit, I was one of those people that thought “Just spend less, it won’t be any different”. Until I got this. It is so much more comfortable than the other kinds that require you to boil.

The ones that are less and require you to boil them for that “perfect” fit were bulky and they scarred my tongue because of the extra room they allow for bending and shaping. Basically I would sleep at night with my tongue wedge between the bending gaps of the protector. I would have to break from using them to allow my tongue to heal.

With this product, there’s no boiling, just a simple adjustment and pop it in your mouth at night. It’s comfortable and you don’t look as silly as you do with the boil products. Plus, my tongue doesn’t get scarred from using it.

I have had problems with my teeth grinding in my sleep at night.

Ive tried several over the counter bite plates, but found them uncomfortable and ineffective. My dentist suggested Sleepright and I can feel the difference. It really has trained my brain to stop touching my upper and lower teeth; when I do my jaw gets shakey, prompting me to open.

Thank you very much. I alerted my dentist already!

I thought this would help with my nighttime grinding of my teeth, but it just isn’t comfortable and I really regret spending the money on it.

Guess it is cheaper than getting one from the dentist, but I still don’t think it was worth the price.

    wonderful purchase.
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
recently, i purchased the sleepright adjustable low-profile night guard for some severe nightly grinding. this night guard was the first out of about 4 or 5 that i have purchased that actually fit my mouth properly. it gives 4-5 adjustments that can be used to fit yourself properly. my mouth closes completely when i wear it during the night. also, it is designed so that it does not move around at all while you sleep. i highly recommend this product to anyone that has found other options too bulky. i plan on continuing to use this as long as i continue to grind… which could be forever. i know that i will be absolutely satisfied with it!

Do not buy this. They will not replace it if chewed through
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I have chewed through mine every 5-6 weeks and have sent it back time and time again and now they have refused to send me a new one. Even though I went through 5 it is only guranteed up to 90 days. So say you chewed through in March and sent it back and they gave you new one. You chew through it again and send it back. They will not continue to replace it if it is after the 90 day from your orginal receipt. I get 5 weeks with this mouthguard and it has to be replaced. They refused to replace it. It is poorly made if you spend $70 and it lasts 5 weeks. They also told me I was the only one who continually chewed through their mouthpiece. Then why does the return and exchange paperwork have reason to return “Chewed through”? Very poorly made and poor customer service. A product that only works for 5 weeks. 35 days and $70.

    Is effective and comfortable
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is my first experience with a mouth guard and I have only had it a few days, but it is effective in keeping me from clenching my jaws together at night. I used to wake up with my jaws clenched together and had cracked enamel off my one tooth which my dentist felt was due to teeth grinding. I was not sure if I would actually use a mouth guard, so did not want to invest in a custom one from the dentist. I was pleasently suprised that this product is so soft and pliable, yet does the job of preventing me from clenching my jaws together. I am still getting used to wearing it, but it does solve the problem of jaw clenching, and hopefully will prevent more dental work.

    Great dental guard!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is actually the first dental guard that I felt comfortable with while going to sleep. I have tried others over the years and I would wake up with them out of my mouth. This is a great size for small mouths. It’s true that in the beginning I was sleeping with my mouth open because of this dental guard, waking up with a dry mouth. Good mouth care is necessary. Now I got used to it and I am able to close my mouth, but without grinding my teeth. I would recommend it to a friend.

    Helps stop grinding
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I purchased the SleepRight night guard -low profile about 2 weeks ago and have been using it faithfully. It has helped me to stop clenching and grinding my teeth therefore eliminating my headaches. The low profile is especially good for me. I have a nightguard from my dentist but it was not stopping me from grinding my teeth, I was grinding the night guard against my bottom teeth. So far I have been pleased with the SleepRight night guard and I recommend it to anyone who has this problem.

    Doesnt really help with clenching
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
The first couple days of using this product your jaw feels very painful getting used to it. By the 5th and 6th day I actually woke up with no pain first time in a long time. But I was clenching so hard when I put my night guard back in for the 7th day it fit differently and I used it for 1 month every night after that just to make sure it was a lost cause and the pain started getting worse. My bite was off in the morning from clenching so hard on the nightguard, and it ended up hurting more than before I got it which was horrible.

I ended up purchasing two of these. The regular profile one did not seem to fit correctly, so I purchased the Low Profile as well. I am not please with either. After suffering from a sore jaw everynight and actually having my jaw “click” out of place from TMJ, I found this dental guard. It has been a life saver for me for the past 3 years! It does have to be replaced about every 6-9 months which is well worth it.

    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
This night guard is the first non custom-made guard to have worked for me. But after two weeks of daily use, the bite pads broke in two. When I called SleepRight customer service, I was told to mail them my guard and receipt and they will send me a replacement. I did that more than a month ago and I have not heard from them since. Needless to say, I am more than disappointed that SleepRight does not honor their warranty promises.

good idea and design, but just not quite there.
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I’ve tried all the sizes available for these SleepRight night guards and it really came down to the bite pads being too thick. Don’t get me wrong, the design and materials used seem of high quality, but even after a month – I was not used to this product in all the different sizes. I would wake up with cuts in my mouth (the bite pads have a harder plastic pivot) and a sore jaw from keeping it open at a certain angle (unanimous with all sizes). I think the design can use a little more refinement and it may be very good one day. I switched over to the Dentek “copies” and they actually work better for me. They come in packs of 2 for the price of 1 of these as well (just make sure you get the ones that have the blue bite pads). You can give it a try and may have success with this one.. but not for me.

I am sure this nightguard is much better than the ones you have to boil and bite in to. This one is very comfortable, and matches my jaw exactly (I have a small jaw). I thought that I would spit it out in my sleep, b/c it isn’t like the one the dentist made for me, but I kept it in all night. Like every night guard, it takes some getting used to. It even comes with a nice case to keep it.

Have had tmj and been a night grinder for years. Insurance does not cover dental night guards and when i paid out of pocket i was not impressed with them. i used thosecrap boil ones for a long time till i found this one. the low profile works well for not making my mouth hurt and it is the most comfortable one i have ever had. i go through them quickere than i would like. i wish they held up just a bit better. but will sacrifice that for the wearability of them. i do not buy any but these now. flavored is fine too but doesn’t last long so i just get whichever.

The first mouthguard I can actually sleep with
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’ve had this mouthguard about a week and I absolutely love it. I grind my teeth pretty bad when I sleep so I always wake up with sore spots on the sides of my tongue. I was a bit hesitant to spend $40 on a plastic mouthpiece but it has been so worth it!

Not only are the sore spots on my tongue completely gone, but I have no trouble keeping the mouthguard in my mouth all night long. With other devices, I would unknowingly remove it in the middle of the night. But that has not happened to me even once. It’s very comfortable and I would highly recommend it!

Tried the cheap sports mouth guards and they were very uncomfortable and wouldn’t stay in at night. This guard stays in and isn’t as bulky as the others. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others.

I use these all the time.

I go thru(literally grind thru) one every 4 months. At this point for me it would be less to have the dentist make me a real one. Just haven’t yet. they work, until I grind thru them, my jaw, teeth and head KILL if I don’t use it. BIG help.

only 4 stars b/c its not the real thing and the real thing would be better.

Buy the Secure-Comfort or Dura-Comfort version instead
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Tried this night guard and it kept falling out in the night. Finally woke up one day and it was broken in two (where the adjustable bite pads attach to the guard is the weakest spot). This guard doesn’t stay in place well enough for a side sleeper to use. Maybe if you sleep on your back or stomach it would work. I am using the Sleep Right Secure-Comfort now and am having better luck, the extra wings that it has helps to keep the guard from falling out or moving around in the night. These are very comfortable night guards, much better than the boil type in my opinion. Couldn’t get to sleep with the boil types, they are too bulky and uncomfortable.

Keep your receipt if you buy any of the Sleep Right products – there is a 3 month warranty (6 month on the Dura-Comfort version).

I chew through one of these about every seven or eight months. I have a small mouth and it fits perfectly. I don’t know what I did without it. I have tried other guards and they are too stiff and/or too big. This one is flexible and adjustable. I highly recommend giving it a try or try the full size if you have a normal sized mouth. The low profile one is definately for a small mouth.

I have had the dentist make hard plastic night guard for $400. and I recently bought this “Slim Comfort” guard. I like this one very much. Let’s face it, if you’re a tooth grinder, no matter what kind of guard you use, it’s not going to make you STOP. All guards are made to protect your teeth. I found the slim guard much more comfortable. Try practicing meditation for stress relief. Also try to constantly “catch” yourself grinding and use the mantra: “Lips together, teeth apart”.

I have been using the Sleepright guards for a couple of years now. I don’t like sleeping with the guard on but I have become used to it. Before I discovered this item I was having trouble with loosening my dental work in my sleep because of my grinding. I was losing a crown or a filling a couple of times a year. Since I started wearing this every night I have not have one issue! I end up buying a couple of these a year because I do actually chew through them after a few months.

Excellent results with sleep right night guard!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have been using this product for approximately five years. After being diagnosed with TMJ problems, I was given a sleep right night guard by my chiropractor to try. I had been experiencing head aches, and ear problems before I began using the night guard. Since using the night guard I no longer experience head aches or ear problems when waking up in the a.m. I do have to replace the sleep right about every 3 months due to clenching so hard that I wear them out in about 3 months. If you have TMJ related problems I would suggest you try the Sleep Right night guard. I have had the best results with the low profile. It seems to be more comfortable for sleeping.

    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I bought this after reading reviews about how comfortable this low-profile mouthguard is during sleep. Upon receiving the guard, I repeadedly read the directions and still found that it did not fit in my mouth as intended. The guard felt as if it would fall out as soon as I stopped clenching and it did just that during the night. Finally one night I just bit it the wrong way (as it was very loose in my mouth) and the whole guard came apart in my mouth. Luckily I am a light sleeper or I can imagine I could have choked on one of the pieces. Please save your money and do NOT buy this mouthguard! I have had much better luck with boil-and-bite versions from Dentek. Hope this helped!

    I’ve had better
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
OK, I know I’m swimming upstream here because most people really seem to like this device. I’m not saying it isn’t a good product, I’m only saying I’ve had similar items that I personally liked better.

Let’s lead with the negatives. Everyone always feels obligated to lead with a positive, right? Well not this time…

    1. It simply will not stay put. No matter what size I make it (S, M, L or XL) it just moves around all over the place inside my mouth. There are no “inner wings” to keep it from moving from side to side, and there is nothing to keep it from moving forward either. The little tiny “strap” on the front doesn’t offer any real resistance to forward movement – so it moves forward freely – and constantly.

    2. I sleep on my side at least part of the night and the pressure on my face causes the device to move away from my teeth into my mouth. When I wake up it will be in my mouth somewhere, but not always between my teeth. Some of the time it’s just a tangled, rubbery glob

On the positive side, it would definitely be comfortable to use if it would just stay in one place while it’s in (for me, it won’t – for you, maybe it will?).
